I just read this article. One of the patients was a 10 year old pregnant girl that had been raped by her uncle. Do you think that it’s okay to oppose her getting an abortion? That she should have went to full term with a child she never asked for?…

Clearly they’re not the same; rape is sexual as well as violent and doesn’t end life while abortion is purely violent and does not create negative memories for the victim. Also, abortion is generally accepted—or at least legal—and rape is not. I never said that abortion is rape or that rape is abortion. However, they’re wrong for very similar reasons. 

You aren’t answering the question though. Should the little girl have gone full term in your opinion. Shes ten, her body probably couldn’t even sustain the fetus to begin with, but lets say for arguments sake that her body could. Should she have been forced to carry to term with a child she never asked for? That shes not prepared for. She’s not even out of elementary school more than likely. 

It’s an extreme case, but yes, I think she should have. And no, I would never “force” her to.  The whole situation is utterly tragic and awful. But life is the most important factor here.
